Today is 3rd of October, Sunday.

This is the first time I write blog so I don’t exactly know how to do it. Hope I will figure it out someday.

By writing “Why Sunday?” I mean what is it that you should do at Sunday. I mean take any day in the week say Monday or Wednesday, it has a straightforward definition of being part of workweek so you are supposed to work, whatever your work might be. Students study during week, Workers work, Unemployed people search or at least supposed to search for job, even people of art like designers or writers tend to work during official workweek. Then we move to more interesting parts of the week: Friday, Saturday and arguably Thursday. Thursday is the day before Friday and so it acts as a signal that working week is about to be over. In Almaty for example restaurants, cafes and bars are sometimes busier in Thursdays than in Fridays, because when you feel that end of hard week is over you can let yourself rest for some time until you make a final step which is work on Friday. Friday is even better. Friday in Almaty for example is something everybody wait. If you have friends who are working and are unavailable during the week Friday is just the day when you can meet them up and engage into some joint activity like going to a club or a bar. Friday is always a big event in Almaty. Now we go to Saturday. Ah Saturday is great, you are free all day long and can do anything you want, but for me partying on Saturday is a bit uncomfortable. The simple fact that tomorrow is Sunday, stops me from engaging into relaxing in full amounts. Therefore Saturday is devoted to some sport event or cultural event which also is quite necessary. At last we came to Sunday. Sunday is the day when you are free only formally. In fact you already feel the weight of upcoming working week. So you are trying to somehow ease this feeling. I know only one way of how to do this: start preparation for the working week on Sunday. This means that you should work in Sunday to lighten your next week. But working on Sunday is twice as hard as working during the work week. Why? Because subconsciously you understand that today is weekend and that probably it means that people should rest. But you can’t, at least I can’t. The obvious problem of Sunday is that no matter how long your weekends are you will always have one day which will be identical in its technical details to Sunday. Therefore I will call it from now on as “paradox of Sunday”.

One apparent thing makes paradox of Sunday possible and it is time. Time is the thing I truly admire and fear. Nothing can stop time and I am pretty sure that nothing will be able to stop it. Even if we could make Sunday to last as long as we wanted paradox of Sunday wouldn’t automatically die of, because there is no such thing in life as getting done everything you need. Some details will always be obscured from you. Therefore on the Monday morning you may feel regret for not able to do this small thing on Sunday. World and everything that it has is a continuous variable with infinite objects and solutions. Whereas man wants it to be discreet, so that he can check everything he has done and everything that he didn’t manage to do.

As you probably noticed there is no articulated conclusion. There shouldn’t be one, because as I said time, world and deeds are all continuous variables….
